About Me
Hi, I’m Joshua Kaufmann — an AI consultant, developer, and educator with a passion for creating tools that make work more efficient and solve real problems. My career has spanned media production, education, and technology, giving me a unique perspective on how AI can bridge creative and technical workflows.
My Approach
I specialize in turning generative AI into practical, repeatable systems. My projects range from an IELTS speaking practice platform that delivers instant feedback, to a teacher reflection app that helps educators improve lessons over time, to AI models for video production that organize footage and accelerate post-production. By blending hands-on development with consulting, I help schools, startups, and creative teams design AI solutions that actually save time.
Background
I hold a lecturer certification from the Tsinghua AI General Education Research Group, and I previously taught at Tsinghua International School in Beijing. I earned a Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University (2017) and have completed 12 AI-related certifications and specializations, including:
- Generative AI as a Learning Design Partner (University of Michigan)
- Prompt Engineering for Educators (Vanderbilt University)
- Generative AI for Software Developers (IBM)
My earlier career in media production and theatre gave me deep experience in storytelling, creativity, and technical workflows. Today, I draw on that foundation to build AI tools that serve both education and media industries.
Philosophy
I believe AI is at its best when it removes friction — making processes faster, feedback loops shorter, and creative possibilities wider. My goal is to create systems that let people focus on what matters most: teaching, creating, and innovating.
